one of the door switches probably need to be adjusted or replaced.

according to ford, there is no pressure switch in the door jam like on other cars, it is in the door handle that tells when the door is open or closed.

I ended up just pulling the fuse so i have no dome light which sucks at times, but the map lights still work so use those.

it would be time consuming, but if you want to fix it, unplug both switches and see which one makes the light go out.

you'll probably have to take the door panels off to get to it.
