2003 Ford F-250 starting

I have to recycle the key switch 12 times to build up fuel pressure to start the truck. It will start each time I try but will run only a moment and quite.

Sounds to me like a bad fuel pump, try wiring the pump to be on constantly and try to run vehicle, does it run now or still die out?

If it runs power is beign cut off to the pump and I woudl check the relay.
