2003 Ford F-250 EGR valve

I was informed that "cleaning off all the carbon on the EGR valve" should be considered "normal maintainance" on the the 6.0. Where is it and how do you clean it?

You now have an exhaust pressure regulator, leave it alone...if somethin ain't broke, don't fix it!!!Here are the EGR parts if you really want "fix" it...Any codes?
