I have a 6.8 v10 4x4 and I recently changed fluid in the engine and transmission. My capacities are 6.0 quarts and 17.7 quarts respectively. I added 6.0 quarts oil and 12 quarts atf and both of my dipsticks are reading as if they are overfilled. I have never had this problem with a vehicle before I am not sure what I should do or what I am doing wrong.

Thank you,

These are for dry filling...the torque converter usually hold about half the total capacity! As for the oil, you did change the filter too? if not there's another quart or so in it.
