Engine won't start

Do you have a check engine light On prior to this problem?

If the engine's condition is in tip top shape-do below to determine if its fuel or spark problem that's if its cranking over and refuses to start

Get a carb cleaner and spray into the carb or the throttle body on an EFI. Did it start and die? If not disconnect a spark plug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light.

I am wondering if the battery has shorted out, do you have good voltage across the battery terminals. I would replace the fuel pump if the battery checks out. Here is a guide on it's location.

Check your fuel pressure it should be 40-60psi keorthat is operating pressure primary pump

You have to disconnect the fule line at the outlet of the fuel pump. Install an adapter and get a reading of 45-80 psi. If not make sure regulator is not full of debris if it is clean it out and test again. If still low replace pump.

What do you mean by fires right up, but will not run?
