2002 Ford F-250 Interior Lights Will not go off

2002 Ford F250 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 88,000 miles

When starting my F250 crew cab truck the door open light on the dash will stay on for about 5 to 10 minutes before shuting down the interior lights and locking the doors while in drive. When the truck is stopped and turned off it still thinks there is a door open and will not lock down with the remote. I have checked all doors and cannot find a senor or anything causing the problem.

There is a switch in the door latch that causes this. Most often you can remedy this by spraying a light lube like wd-40 into the latches on the front doors and opening and closing them 15-20 times.
