I have a broke leaf spring - I have the replacement and have the front end apart except the front shackle. Is there a trick in getting the bolt out of the front of the spring? It looks like the bolt is about 5 in. Long and wont slide out due to the radiator support area. Thats even if I can get to the bolt - I havent had any luck yet. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Sorry to tell you this but you will have to remove the bumper, its about a 4 hour job, if your experienced. Use lots of penetrating oil, they rust on there really good.

Thanks for your help from this site - you were right after removing the bumper the front shackle bolts were exposed, the hardest thing to remove was the front spring bolt. It took one person to old the spring and another holding the nut and another with a 5 ft breaker bar to break it loose. Thanks -- job completed.
