I just changed my starter and the engine is now trying to start as I place the battery cables back on the post while the key is off. I went ahead and replaced the ignition switch but this is still occurring. Could it be the starter silinoid on the passeger side fender or something else.

disconnect the s wire on the sollenoid. it just pulls right off. that will disable all the other components that affect starting. try again, still try to start? if so then the solenoid is probably no more good, make sure you have a fully charged battery when using a new one so you dont ruin the new one within a month.
