1997 Ford F250 Starter

About 2 months ago the truck began to randomly not start. It will start if I short across the starter solenoid. I put a new solenoid on but that didn't help.

The problem has now progressed to the point that it will only start if I short across the solenoid.

Any idea what the problem may be?

check starter relay, if OK ignition switch is probably shot
