1997 Ford F250 Excessive fan howling

Would the fan clutch be seized if the fan only made an excessive howling noise when the vehicle is gased. The fan had some resistance after I tried to turn it after running the truck. Also it was making a squeak before. As the squeak went away, the howling started.

Yes i would say that the fan clutch has had it.
