Transmission problem
1996 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive 174000 miles

when i first start it up i have to push the gas pedal all the way down,starts right up and when i take off ait has a slight delayed shift and jumpy.auto trans.i

Hello,

Your problem could be either a weak fuel pump or bad fuel pressure regulator.

You shouldn't have to press pedal to floor to start a fuel injected vehicle. Try turning key to on position then back off a couple times then try starting without pressing pedal. If starts fine then most likely you have a bad pressure regulator.
