1995 Ford F250 idle problems

1995 Ford F250 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I am having idle problems. The truck starts up fine but almost immediately after start up it dies if i dont step on gas pedal. The other day i had my brother start thr truck up while i took the vaccum hose to the egr valve off. after doing this the truck ran fine. then i coonected the hose back to the egr valve and the truck died. i have already replaced the egr valve and done a major tune up. what could the problem be.

Clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens and also test the TPS sensor
