We have a 1986 ford f250 3/4 ton pick-up. we purchased it about 3 years ago. Originally the second fuel tank worked fine. About a year ago it stop working. When you flip the relay switch the fuel gauge goes to empty (even though tank is full). we're not even sure where to start looking for the problem. My dh says possibly the floater?? Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I should have been more specific, sorry. The fuel gauge for the second tank goes to empty and will stop running, as though it were out of gas.
