Transmission problem
1985 Ford F250 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 201xxx miles

After getting unstuck in mud i realized that my tranny was pouring fluid out fast fast. I replaced the front seal(twice) and it still wont hold it. The torque convertor and pump look to be in good condition. What else could be the problem?

Its either pouring out of the convertor, front seal, or pump. It just pours right out of the bell housing so i really cant see in there ya know? I dont believe its a seal problem... I think its either the convertor or pump. Maybe the pump has a crack that i couldnt see or find i dont know.

If u layed frame n your torque converter was in the mud there is a good chance u ripped the front trans seal. Either way if it comming out of the front your gonna have to pull the trans out. You need to try n identify the leak before you pull the trans out so you know right where to fix.

Dude i already have had the trans out twice and have already replaced the seal. I dont know if you have ever looked in the bell housing with it bolted to the motor but you cant see past the convertor.
