1986 Ford F-150 engine size 302 4wd standard transmission. Hi, I had the heads done on this truck because it was overheated. Now when I try to start it, it wont idle but I keep it alive by giving it more gas. It'll sound good for about 2 min then it will start to sound like its starving for fuel or no spark. Once it dies, I can't start it again for about an hour or two. I have replaced both fuel pumps and had the injectors and pressure regulator tested. My ignition module is good. New plugs and wires. When I hook it up to my code reader I get these following codes.

54 Air Charge temp Signal High -- CKT open

87 Primary fuel Pump Circuit Problem

Does anyone know what these codes mean? I have no idea what a Air Charge temp Signal or a Primary fuel Pump Circuit is. Could These codes be causing my problem? If not, Any idea on where I should start looking. Any help would be great. Thank you so much.

54 may be a bad air charge temperature sensor, but the codes can be set from a cooling system problem, improper oil level or air cleaner duct problem.

The other code may be a bad fuel pump relay or wiring short.
