Rear differential

Over 250,000 kilometers

I had the differential replaced 2 years and 20,000 kilometers ago. Now, the shop that did the work say that the bearings are pitted and basically shot because of a bad ground in the vehicle.

Is this possible?

Pitted bearings are a defect or lack of lube depending on the type of pitting, there is no such thing as a bad ground on the vehicle causing this, ask any of the other guys here if you want they will laugh and tell you the same thing, I would check another shop to see what they have to offer but if the bearings are pitted they will have to be replaced

I agree with chevy. Tell those "mechanics" to get their head out of their asses and quit trying to kid you. What is a bad ground going to do with pitted bearings?
