I have a 2000 F-150, 90,000 miles and the tailgate is stuck and will not open. Have tried WD, handle lifts up but back will not pull down/open. Any suggestions on how to repair? Thank you.

The lever is broken or stuck. you can get the tail gate down by removing the screws on the inside of the tail gate. if you have a bed liner panel on the tailgate you will have to remove it first.Hope this will help you resolve the problem.
