I am looking to buy 2007 Ford f-150 4x4 crew cab and would like some advise or opinion on the history of the difference, (repair, durability,)between the 4.6 and 5.4 engines.

both durable engines, if you do casual driving 4.6 is for you for get up and go and gas mileage.

if you do towing or plowing or other hard labor with the vehicle you might want to look into the 5.4. it will deliver the power and wont have to wind up as high as the 4.6 to get the work done thus lasting longer.
