2007 F-150 4.6L Rough Idle

I've only had this truck a couple weeks and at around 800 miles it began to idle rough. It doesn't matter if the engine is hot or cold or if anything inside the truck is in operation, such as the AC. Its a faint and random sputter of the engine.

Check engine light? Have the computer scanned at the dealer. May be out of timing

Dealer says nothing shows up on computer and its normal for the 4.6L engine, but I don't agree that rough Idling should be a characteristic of a brand new engine.

I would most certainly hope not! Take it back to the dealer and demand them check it out throughly

Unfortunatley, rough idle is normal for your engine, also the new 5.4L 3valve eng shakes too. I have seen on severe cases of vibration that the motor mounts are bad, but not likely on 07.
