2006 Ford F150 starting

The lights are bright, and jumper cables were connected, but when the switch is turned to start, the lights don't dim and nothing happens. I am thinking that this is a bad starter relay. Is it on the firewall?

If you have any thing on the firewall by the battery its a starter solenoid
and I would check it 1st then check the starter mounted at the rear low of engine by the tranny

need manual CHECK IT @
