Most of the time, it is not common to replace them this soon. However, several things have to be considered. Is the vehicle used for towing? excessive heat due to inadequate trailer brakes can cause this. Driving habits? Sometimes owners don't realize how hot brakes get when it has to do a lot of high speed, quick braking. Also running through water can cause rotors to warp. When they are hot, if they are suddenly cooled over only part of the rotor, it can cause damage. Overall, no they should not be bad to where they have to be replaced. But they went bad for a reason.
