2005 Ford F150 transmission filter replacment

2005 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i found a little plastic type plunger with an o-ring on it when i dropped the pan to change the filter any idea where it can from or where it goes

Ditch it. I don't remember specificics, but it is to be disposed of.
