2005 Ford F-150 throttle body

2005 Ford F150 Automatic 48000 miles

Our 2005 F150's engine died yesterday and went into "Failsafe" mode. We were able to restart and drove to a local dealer. They are now telling us that it is the throttle body and will cost over $1000. Is there a throttle body on this vehicle and is that price reasonable for repair?

There is a throttle body, thats what the throttle cable and air intake hoses hook too.

1000 bucks is alot for anythign to be dealing with an engien besides a headgasket.

What do they say is wrong with it?
