2005 Ford F150 muffler

I just put a glasspack on my f150 and its fine until it gets into high rpms then it just seems to be spittin? it seems like it just keeps backfing when its at 3500 rpms and above the rpms stay high but i dont gain speed...What is this?

Did it do this prior to you replacing the muffler?
