2005 Ford F150 Grinding noise

Our truck has a grinding noise that only stops when we put on the brakes, Ford is saying that the sensors are bad and it keeps trying to go into 4-Wheel drive. They are saying that this is not covered under warranty....How can a truck with only 17000 miles have this happen

hi well it happens.however i would call the ford rep in your area you can get that number from your dealer he can help you
