When my four wheel is engaged it has a clicking sound. It is a manual shift with auto hub locks. Puzzled Fireman......

Hi sbrandt,

If the clicking is from the locking hubs, one of it could be sticking and not engaging.

Hoist up vehicle and engage the 4 wheel dirve option and turn each of the front wheels by hand. The wheel that requires lesser effort to turn is the one to go for.

If 4 wheel drive is engaged on tarmacs, it could cause the noise as there are are insufficient differential compensation during steering turns.
