2005 Ford F-150 4 wheel drive will not engage

My 4 wheel drive will not engage. I heard a noise a few weeks ago, but I was unable to determine the source of the noise. I did not notice any mechanical issues after the quick screeching noise. I am now unable to get my 4 wheel drive to work. When I switch the switch to 4 wheel drive high nothing happens.

There is a vacumn line on your front end that has broken and over time is has caused the gear in your front diff to slowly engage and wear the teeth off. I have the same truck and this happen to me. Mine was under warranty so check and see if yours is if not I think it is about 300 dollars to repair
