while driving along at regular speed truck will jerk slightly as if to cut off but will proceed normally after
that. what may be wrong?

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Have you checked to make sure there are no vacuum leaks and the catalytic converter isn't plugging?
