2004 Ford F150 truck stuck in 4x4L

My F-150 is stuck in 4x4L and will not come out. How do I get it to disingage from 4x4L. I tried switching back to 2 wheel drive, but eh 4x4l light stays on and it drives like it is in 4 wheel drive.

It sounds like the actuator on the transfer case is bad. Have you checked to see if it is getting power?
