2004 Ford F-150 torque convertor

Truck shifts fine through all gears and od and locks up convertor fine once I let off of the gas it unlocks and once I press back the gas it locks please help

Hi you need to have scanned. This could be a prob with the throttle position sensor. Or with lock up switch in trans. Scanning is the only to determine which

I forgot to ad that it will unlock after releasing the gas and 3 seconds later lock back up by its self at high speeds when it shouldnt unlock also when it locks back up it will stay locked tell eather its time to unlock between 40 and 45 mph or unlock when press gas then lock back up thank u so much for ure help

Hi yes have it scanned. This sounds to me like a tps out of it, s perimeters. A scan will tell.

Yesterday it stopped doing now today it started doing it again going 60mph let off the gas 3secs later hear motor rev a bit and convertor locking in I asume cant get to the dealership for a week is it still safe to drive thank u so much for ure help
