2004 Ford F150 cleaning

have a 2004 f150 lariat.
was advised NOT to wash/clean engine or under the hood.
don't like dirty engine compartment, blower just takes off dust.
can I clean engine compartment with commercial spray-on cleaner and rinse with hose without damaging or causing problems with any electronic components?

i wouldnt do that unless you wrap and seall off all electrical components.

if you use a engine cleaner and degreaser i would wipe it off with a paper towl instead of spraying it.
