check engine light came on how do i reset in and will it mess up the raidos anti thef

You need a scanner to reset it. Take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the system so you know what caused it to come on and then have them reset it. Most do it for free and it won't hurt any of the things you mentioned.
