2004 Ford F150 Air/Idle sensor ?

When slowing down and/or almost at a complete stop, typically while turning, the rpms drop to less than half of 1 rpm and the truck dies. When driving on the open road/highway, everything is fine. Please advise !!

Most likely the Idle AIr control valve, replaced a ton of them on Fords and they dont ususally set the check engine light

Is this something the average guy can change or is it worth taking to a mechanic ?

It's located on the side of the throttlebody, with two screws, very simple, just don't mess up the new gasket!
