I have a squeak that comes after I take off. If you take off slow it does not start. Once you gain speed (usually 35-40mph) it starts up. After you stop it will not start back up if you go about 15-20mph but once you get above that it starts again. Have been told that it is my front wheel sensor. Is that the ABS sensor or a seperate sensor? Or is it something else?

I don't think the sensor (wheel sensor / only one) will make that noise. Have you checked to make sure the brakes are good? Also, make sure the backing plate isn't bent or rusted and hitting the rotor.

Let me know what you find.

Took a look and that may be the problem. Cleaned it up and the only other thing I found was that the rotor was really close to the dust shield. Is there supposed to be anything that holds the rotor back a certain distance from the shield? Like a ring spacer?

Actually, where the hub and rotor attach should keep them far enough apart. However, they do get bent and rust.

Well that seemed to the problem. Glad I asked instead of replacing a $150 part that didn't need to be replaced. Thanks for your help. I know now where to go to get some good info.
