2003 Ford F150 Overhead theromometer and A/C/Heater stay on

When I turn my key off the trucks heater and outside temp in the overhead console stay on. The last time it did this the ignition switch went out shortly after, disabling the car from starting at all. I have since replaced the ignition switch and all was well until yesterday when I went out to my truck and the battery was dead. I jump started it and drove it to the store and when I removed my key the heater (since it is cold) was still blowing and the outside temp was still on.

Could my ignition switch be going out again?

Thanks for any help/direction to further chase this problem.

The ignition switch could be the problem, When you turn the controls on the heater itself to off does the heater continue to run? If so then I would check the heater control electrical wires. The ignition switch are not like the old ones but are made of plasric and do wear out. I have seen even brand new parts be bad so it would not surprise me if there was something in the ignition switch. If the ignition switch was the problem the first time then look at it, check to make sure the wires are on completly and there is no loose wires.
