I have a ford f 150 with factory running boards. I need to know how and what is needed to lower the running boards so that they will sit closer to the ground. It is hard to climb up in as is.

The factory running boards are not designed to be lowered. To do it, you would need to place spacers between where it mounts and the running board which would cause it to be very unstable. You may want to check a local parts store to see if they have something designed to do what you need.
