My check engine light came on and I went to a local parts store to have them check it. The code said that the problem was the torque converter solenoid and the torque converter solenoid harness. Question one is could this problem cause the truck to stall when slowing down? Question two, I am a novice mechanic out of necessity. Should I go and try to fix this myself? From my understanding from talking to people is that all you have to do is change it out when you are changing the tranny oil. Is that so?
