I have a 2002 Ford F150 Supercab 4WD with a 4.6L engine. It has started running rough at idle and has actually gone dead once and has surged once.It also seems to have a slight loss of power at full speed. Can I get a diagnostic done if the check engine light is not on? Or better yet,can you guys tell me what you think is going on? Thanks,Daniel S.

Check your IAC on the throttle body. It may just have to be cleaned. If this unit fails, it will cause the problems you are having.
