My engine light came on 3 weeks ago, but was running just fine. I had light cleared and a vacuum leak repaired. Now the engine "coughs" or cuts out momentarily ( just a second ) and then runs fine for another 1/4 mile or so. Speed does not seem to matter, it just occurs regularly, after the engine warms up slightly and then continues. It feels like a bump in the road to some degree. Otherwise engine runs fine, but I have the feeling something serious is about to happen. Diagnostics by a reputable repair shop does not shoe any indication that anything is wrong.
