I have noticed a squeaking noise when my 2002 F150 hits 2500 rpms. Could it be a belt?

Try this. Start the engine, open the hood, and have a helper rev the engine to 2500RPM's. When you hear the noise, pour a small amount of water on the belt to see if it changes the sound.

NOTE: Protect your eyes and clothes. Water will fling back at you.

Let me know what you find.
