I've had a trouble code P0401 coming up for months I took it to a well known auto repair chain, they changed the EGR, still have code, took it in 3 more times, told me they couldn't figure it out, but the last time they said I need to change the oxygen sensor. I still have the same code coming up.

The DPFE sensor may be faulty and need replacement.

Also the egr valve and ports could be pluugged up with carbon and need cleaning.

the last things i theres not enough vaccum goign to the egr valve diaphragm to open it.
