2001 Ford F-150 runs ruff

I CHANGED MY FUEL FILTER SUNDAY, TOOK THE TRUCK FOR A TEST RIDE, EVERYTHING OK. TODAY
I LEFT THE HOUSE ROAD THE BELTWAY AND ALL
OF A SUDDEN THE (CHECK ENGINE SOON) LIGHT
COMES ON AND THE TRUCK STARTS RUNNING RUFF.
I CAME TO A RED LIGHT AND IT IDLES RUFF. I DROVE HOME AT 55 MPH, BUT IT STILL RUNS RUFF
AND THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON

Sounds like a coil pack going bad on the truck. I assume you have a 5.4 gas engine in this truck. If you can give me more information I may can answer better for you.

Headman 40, the ford truck is a 4.2 6 cyl. Engine,
the truck started to run ruff about 15 miles of
driving after I changed the fuel filter. I am going to
check the fuses to see if one blew, I don't think it's
the coil never had any problem before. THANK YOU
