Hello,

Any time the parking brakes does not engage make sure the brake shoes are in good shape and not worn.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/parking-brake-shoe-replacement

On this truck there is no adjustment for the parking brake cable. If the cables are scratched, then they will need to be replaced.

Do an inspection of all the cables and make sure you don't have a damaged bracket. Also inspect the pedal to make sure it is actuating properly.

I have attached the complete brake cable replacement instructions for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
