The clutch they had a self adjusting one and a non self adjusting one

I am replacing the clutch in my truck and when I went ot go buy the clutch they had a self adjusting one and a non self adjusting one. I know with the self adjusting one you have to put it in a hydrolic press to get the right depth you need but do you still have to do that to the other one, I dont think you do, I dont see how it would work on it but I wanted to make sure.

Does your truck have a slave cylender under the hood / on trans?
