2001 Ford F150 burning oil

my truck is burning oil. there isnt any leak nor burning oil smell. when i start it sometimes blue smoke will come out the exhaust. what can cause this problem?

Valve guide seals will most likley be the cause of smoke on start up. Lack of maint and oil changes are the cause of bad seals usually.
