2000 Ford F150 Four Wheel Drive Manual

I have replaced the alternator and the starter, I just put in the new starter and it started but you can hear the starter keep running - then it burns up the starter. What is wrong!

The starter relay could be sticking or you have a defective ignition switch

Yes the ignition swith must be defective or the starter must be getting covered with moisture.Consult a good garage to solve the problem.
