For the first time today this happened.
I started my truck, the oil light came on ,and the gauge dial didnot move up to the middle as usual.
I shut off the engine ,lifted the hood and checked the oil ,the dip stick showed normal level.
I started the truck again and the same thing happened, light came on ,dial didnot move.
I shut the engine off, waited 30 seconds, started up and all was normal meaning the oil lught didnot come on and the dial moved up to the middle range and stayed there.I then drove 20 miles stopping twice for 10 minutes each time, prooblem didnot return. Any suggestions.

You may have a faulty oil sending unit.
