2000 Ford F150 my truck is burning oil

my oil pressure guage goes all the way down when i come to a stop after driving for about 10 miles and goes down everytime i stop. what is causing this

No engine knocking noises-

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch could also be the gauge/wiring problem. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
