2000 Ford F-150 my truck is burning oil

My oil pressure guage goes all the way down when I come to a stop after driving for about 10 miles and goes down everytime I stop. What is causing this

No engine knocking noises-

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch could also be the gauge/wiring problem. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
