I think the 4WD went on my truck, is there anything I can check for a quick fix? Like fluid level or something like that?

no however if u open ur door with truck off and key in on position u should hear a click when u turn 4x4 on be sure ur in nuetral with ur tires blocked if u do not hear it it will be moderatly easy fix if its clicking then u got to put lil time into the problem.
